Franklin, NH, Worker Catches Man who Jumped from Fire

July 2, 2025
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Franklin Fire Chief Michael Foss said.

Catching a man who jumped from a two-story window to escape a fire was not on the 'to do' list of a Franklin city worker.

Yet, that's what he did. Two others jumped as well.

"We had three people jumping from the second floor. One was being assisted by a city worker who actually was able to help catch one of the individuals," Franklin Fire Chief Michael Foss told WMUR.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
